The District & Sessions Court Karachi West serves as a premier judicial institution within the Karachi West District, functioning under the oversight of the Sindh High Court. Our Court upholds both civil and criminal laws, delivering justice to a diverse population spanning across Manghopir, Mominabad, Orangi, and adjacent areas.

⚖️ Our Mandate & Jurisdiction

  • Criminal Jurisdiction: As a Sessions Court, we adjudicate serious criminal offences—including culpable homicide, rape, armed robberies, and narcotics cases—as specified under the Code of Criminal Procedure and Hudood Laws .
  • Civil Jurisdiction: Operating as a District Court for civil disputes, we address issues such as property matters, contractual claims, family disputes, and monetary reparations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: These include appellate functions, execution of civil and criminal decrees, and oversight as ex officio Justices of Peace for minor complaints and administrative matters.
